Small law firm with substantial Accounts Receivable.
This client was a seasoned and experienced attorney in private practice for approximately two years. When David started with the client, she was owed tens of thousands of dollars in Accounts Receivable.
RESULTS:
- Rebilled those clients who were less than six months in arrears, which was followed up by a phone call to alert them of their delinquent status.
- Sent a letter sent to clients with accounts in arrears over six months.
- Tasked the bookkeeper with following up with each client, providing a bonus to the bookkeeper of 10% of all collected funds.
- 87% of the outstanding A/R funds were collected and the bookkeeper, who had considered leaving the firm, was retained.
Nonprofit with a demotivated and disengaged workforce.
This client had been in existence for 20 years and had grown to have a substantial workforce of skilled and administrative personnel. The challenge was to re-engage them into the mission of the organization so they delivered the highest quality care and service to the organization’s constituents.
RESULTS:
1. Developed and distributed a staff survey on topics including.
- Job satisfaction
- Organizational assessment
- Career aspirations
- Recommendations for managerial improvement
- Implemented weekly staff meetings
2. Identified those staff members who were unlikely to contribute to a positive and productive workforce and developed performance improvement plans for those individuals.
3. The client saw increased engagement and commitment from staff and management to foster a more positive, productive work environment.
Professional association undertaking long-term strategic planning.
This client is a professional association whose members work in the elder care field as attorneys, financial or insurance specialists, and care providers. The Association was undertaking a strategic planning process to determine it's three-to-five year plan.
RESULTS:
- A SWOT Analysis with the client to determine the organization’s Strengths Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats.
- Development of a Strategic Action Plan for improving the organizational structure of the organization and improving its financial resources.
- Implementation of an organizational design to involve members on specific committees to improve membership, marketing and programming.
- The Association has seen a 25% increase in membership, is on track to be cost-neutral and has recently launched a new chapter.
